Animals are my absolute passion! Having always been surrounded by dogs from a very young age, my first dog was a rough Lassie collie whom I adored. We also had poodles and Samoyeds growing up. I have owned five Golden Retrievers including Henry who is the most gentle loyal amazingly handsome boy and loving companion!
I worked as a dental nurse at Newquay Dental Centre for nearly 10 years and although I loved my job (and enjoyed creating some beautiful smiles) I love dogs more! Therefore I made the decision to move away from nursing, as I discovered my heart belongs outdoors. Ever since making the decision I’ve had the honour of meeting up with many of our wonderful furry friends and taking them on some lovely walks in a couple secret spots I have discovered over the years.
Fully licensed by local authority
In February 2020, we were granted a four-star two-year licence by Cornwall Council. This is the highest possible rating for a new business (five star is the maximum award). There are strict government regulations for animal care services, which prevent anyone offering these services without a licence. As a nation of animal lovers, the new legislation, introduced in October 2018, is intended to protect our pets and make sure they are being cared for safely.
Full public liability insurance
We are fully insured with PetPlan’s Business insurance for Dog walking and home boarding with a comprehensive public and products liability policy. This encompasses loss of keys, replacement of locks, dog walking, daycare and home boarding. Our vehicle is also fully insured to transport pets.
Canine First Aid Training
Canine first aid training is mandatory for anyone seeking a licence. I hold Fist Aid & CPR Certificate which enables me to administer canine CPR or treat a serious wound.
DBS Checked
If you are leaving your house keys in the care of a dog walker (or anyone else visiting your home), you need to know they have no criminal record and have been checked by the DBS (Disclosure & Barring Service), formerly known as the CRB (Criminal Records Bureau). You can rest assured that We have no police records of convictions, cautions, reprimands or warning.
